12 Days of Giving: Whole-Person Care

Mental and physical health go hand in hand.

For example, anxiety can result in sleep issues. However, if you only treat the sleep issues, you may still experience the unresolved anxiety.

That’s why Fraser is committed to partnering with community healthcare providers to deliver whole-person care that addresses both the mental and physical causes of symptoms through a service called Integrated Healthcare.

From birth through adulthood, a collaborative care approach can strengthen patient care by teaming a diverse group of professionals, such as primary care physicians, psychologists, case managers and other health specialists to look at the whole person. This collaboration is especially crucial for individuals with autism and special needs, who often experience co-occurring conditions such as Down syndrome, epilepsy, Cerebral palsy, and more, with their diagnosis.

Our recent FraserCast episode dives into the relationship between mental and physical health, while emphasizing how increasing access to service greatly improves outcomes.

It can be scary taking the first step in asking for help. The average delay between symptom onset and treatment for mental health challenges is eleven years.

Fraser is an essential piece of this collective puzzle. Your commitment to creating a meaningful and lasting difference is another.

The strength of our community lies in the health and wellbeing of every individual. By closing the service gaps for individuals and families with special needs, we enrich the life of our entire community.

By supporting Fraser, you contribute to the vision of a world where all people have equal opportunity and choice to realize their dream to live, work, learn and play as members of our community.

Because of you, our ability to show up for those who need us most is still possible.

You lift us up.
