Wayne Lindholm
2007 Louise Whitbeck Fraser Award Recipient
When Wayne Lindholm makes a commitment, he commits his whole being. His service to Fraser, as a board member, volunteer and champion of Fraser services, has been constant for the past 22 years.
Wayne’s relationship with Fraser began in 1987 when his daughter Jessica, who was born with Down syndrome, was enrolled in Fraser School. At that time, Wayne and his wife Maureen got involved with PATS, the Fraser School parent/teacher organization. Over the years, Wayne and Maureen have served on many other Fraser committees that benefit Fraser School, The Fraser Institute, the Fraser golf tournament and the Fraser annual benefit. Wayne has served on the Fraser board of directors for the past 17 years.
His faithful service is not limited to Fraser. In 1994, Wayne and Maureen were on the local coordinating committee to bring the National Down Syndrome Congress Annual Convention to Minneapolis. In 2000, the Lindholms helped develop the Down Syndrome Foundation, a nonprofit organization of which Wayne serves as president.
Wayne’s passion for improving the lives of people with special needs is unmatched. Thanks to Wayne, our community is a better place for all of us.
