Fraser Physical Therapy Services focus on improving children’s mobility, motor development, posture, strength, range of motion, balance, and coordination. Therapists evaluate and treat children using play and functional activities to achieve a maximum level of independent mobility. Physical therapy can restore function and improve mobility and strives to prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.
Physical therapy is provided through Fraser Rehabilitation Services, which provide comprehensive evaluation, consultation, and treatment services for children with motor and sensory dysfunction, decreased functional and developmental skills, feeding and swallowing difficulties, and speech, language, and hearing disorders. These therapy services are provided with an interdisciplinary approach and each child’s goals and activities are individualized, based on strengths, challenges, and motivations. Fraser therapists collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and mental health practitioners to maximize results.
Most programs are designed for children up to 7 years of age. Children older than 7 may be served depending on the child, program and the treating therapy team.
