The Neuropsychology Clinic at Fraser serves children and young adults who have neurodevelopmental or neurological disorders. Neurodevelopmental disorders include complex cases of attention deficit disorder (ADD), pervasive developmental disorders (e.g. autism, Asperger’s syndrome), developmental delay, and learning disabilities. Neurological disorders might include seizures, traumatic brain injuries, brain tumors, Tourette’s disorder or infectious diseases.
Fraser neuropsychologists administer tests that measure intelligence as well as attention, academic, memory, fine-motor, visual-perceptual, and problem-solving skills. This evaluation creates a comprehensive picture of cognitive abilities and the level of social, emotional, and academic functioning. Our experts then design intervention plans that use a person’s strengths in some areas to compensate for weaknesses in others. They prescribe educational and community resources that help to strengthen social, emotional, and academic performance.
Children and young adults, ages 1 year to 18 years, some college-age adults served.
Our neuropsychologists have more than 25 years combined experience in the field.
