Drawing from decades of experience, The Fraser Institute provides support to child care and school-age care providers, enabling them to successfully include and retain children with special needs or challenging behaviors in child care programs within the community. The Fraser Institute assists people with special needs, their families and the professionals who serve them in accessing resources that may not otherwise be available.
Children with special needs, challenging behaviors or mental health disorders who participate in early childhood programs, family child care or school-age care.
The Fraser Institute is led by a director with more than 20 years of experience in early childhood special education teaching and administration. She has worked to create services and service models that support inclusive early childhood and school-age care programs. The Fraser Institute staff consists of a child care support coordinator, inclusion consultants, behavioral consultants, trainers and Mental Health Practitioners who have an early childhood or early childhood special education background and experience working with children with special needs and challenging behaviors in preschool or therapeutic settings.
Services are provided at the child care setting, by phone, or via virtual consultation.
Services are financially supported through various community grants and contracts with county and state agencies. Private pay is also available.
