Autism Spectrum Disorders Diagnostic Evaluations consist of a combination of interview, standardized testing and clinical observation. Parents are actively involved in the therapeutic evaluation process (including interview and observation) in order to understand their child’s diagnosis. Immediately following the child’s assessment, clinicians and parents review the results together. A summary report documenting the findings and recommendations is also produced and mailed to parents.
These evaluations are through the Fraser Autism Program which provides evaluation and treatment services for children with autism spectrum disorders. The long-range goal of this program is to maximize each child's developmental potential while improving the child's functioning in family, school, and community environments. Services are tailored to individual needs using best practice methods from multiple perspectives.
Our evaluation teams include licensed psychologists, social workers and autism specialists with neuropsychology, TEACCH and ABA expertise.
Children, adolescents, young adults and their parents and caregivers.
