Program in the Spotlight
Yoga Therapy for Children
The Fraser Yoga Therapy Program promotes the development of motor skills through yoga poses that focus on balance skills, flexibility, and breathing. Exercises are presented through themed activities provided in a fun social group environment; each week is based on a different theme. Each session includes an introduction with singing, warm-ups (breathing exercises) and eye exercises. This leads into stretches and poses. Sessions are wrapped up with circle time, relaxation, and a good-bye song. Sessions are led by a physical therapist and an occupational therapist and will begin in January 2008. To register, contact Intake Coordinator at 612-331-9413. Read our fact sheet to learn more.
