Visual Strategies for Children with Autism

Many individuals with autism spectrum disorders process what they see more efficiently than what they hear. For this reason, Fraser is now providing Visual Strategies services. These services assist families in designing visual support tools that help children with autism both cope and function better and more independently at home, school and play. Visual tools, such as schedules, task organizers, homework planners, social stories and stress scales, also help children to communicate and interact with others. Visual consultations can be done individually with the child or family, with the child and family together, or with school, agency and residential support staff. Read more.

Fraser is currently accepting clients for the Visual Strategies program; please contact the Intake Coordinator at 612-331-9413.
