Summer Program Assistant

Division/Location: Fraser Residential, various metro locations.
Status: Full-time or part-time, temporary (summer only)

Work Schedule (Note: These schedules will have some flexibility and there will be opportunities to pick up extra shifts. This will be for the summer months, June through August.)
- Plymouth: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (five days per week); 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (three days per week)
- Bloomington: 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (Monday through Thursday)
Job Duties:
- Provide direct service to individuals with developmental disabilities and related conditions.
- Complete personal cares as needed.
- Assist residents with achieving personal goals.
- Participate in community outings with residents.
- Light housework and cooking required.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass certification course to administer treatments (within 60 days of hire).
- Must maintain current first aid and CPR certification.
- Must perform duties in multiple locations and hold a valid, state-issued driver’s license with a record consistent with Fraser’s driving policy.
- Must be able to understand, speak, and write clear and understandable English.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers and calculate percentages.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and physically assist children and adults and over 100 pounds in ambulation and transitions as necessary.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Some post-secondary education or work experiences.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related conditions.
Approximate Minimum Starting Wage: $10.00 per hour
(Note: Actual starting wage will depend on candidate’s qualifications relative to the position.)
