Executive Function refers to the cognitive set of skills we use to solve problems. Executive function may be one of the least studied and most frequently overlooked contributors to academic and behavioral problems. Individuals struggling with Executive Dysfunction are often labeled lazy, forgetful, unmotivated, always late, and easily distracted, Learn how this disorder impacts planning, flexibility, sequencing, emotional regulation, working memory, organization and self-monitoring.
Participants will better understand the development of Executive Function, its role in daily living and learning, and how it is assessed and supported. This workshop is best suited for parents and professionals working with individuals in middle-school through young adults (Aspergers, ADHD, or related disorders).
