Residential Living
Fraser Residential Living operates 26 homes for adolescents and adults with disabilities and provides services to address the developmental, health, safety and social needs of each person living here. These single-family houses are located in various urban and suburban neighborhoods throughout Hennepin and Anoka Counties.
On-site staff develop and manage day-to-day services to assist each person to participate in the community at his/her highest ability. Family, friends, and a receptive community play a large part in helping each person to achieve important goals. Fraser makes a lifelong commitment to serve the people who receive residential services as long as these services continue to be the best option for them and their needs can be met with available resources.
On-site services include:
- 24-hour staffing tailored to the needs of the people in each home
- Health service consultation provided by a Registered Nurse
- Accessible homes based on people’s needs

Qualifications for residency
Each person must have a diagnosis of a developmental, cognitive or other disability with a waiver from the county of financial responsibility. Referrals are reviewed by the Fraser residential management team to determine the appropriateness of placement in homes that have openings.

Our Staff
The program is supervised by a coordinator with a bachelor’s degree and minimum two years experience in developmental disability services. The coordinator supervises and trains direct support professionals to ensure program goals are met.

Payment/Funding
Room and board for residents are paid for by the county of financial responsibility through Group Residential Housing Funds. Services are paid for by waivered funding.

Current Openings: Yukon House - Bloomington, MN
Fraser Yukon House is a four-bedroom, split-level home. There is an opening for 1 adult male or female.
Currently there are two females and one male client in the home. They range in age from 28 to 58 years old, and function in the moderate to severe range. They all enjoy outings in the community, are friendly and sociable.
The staffing pattern currently is 2:4 during program hours with awake overnight staff. The site also receives weekly nursing visits by a Registered Nurse.

Current Openings: Oxbow House - Eden Prairie, MN
Fraser Oxbow House is located in a quiet Eden Prairie neighborhood. The house is a split-level home with a large backyard and deck. There is an opening for 2 adult males or females.
Currently one male and one female client reside in the home. They range in age from 44-54 years old, and function in the mild to moderate MR range. They are social individuals, and enjoy participating together in dances, church groups, and community educations classes, etc.
The staffing pattern currently is 1:2 during program hours with support hour’s weekly for community outings. The house has awake overnight staff. The site also receives weekly nursing visits by a Registered Nurse.

Current Openings: Vessey House - Eden Prairie, MN
Fraser Vessey House is located in a quiet Bloomington neighborhood. The house is a multi -level home with a large backyard and deck.
This home will be relocating in September 2013 to a new handicap accessible, 4 bedroom development located in North Central Bloomington.
There is an opening for 1 adult male or female. Currently two male and one female clients live in the home. They range in age from 46-68 years old, and function in the moderate MR range. They are a fairly active group, and enjoy participating in a variety of activities in the home and the community including playing games, church groups, and community educations classes, etc.
The staffing pattern currently is 2:4 during program hours with awake overnight staff. The site also receives weekly nursing visits by a Registered Nurse.
