Helping Children Transition

“Fraser understands that early childhood trauma does not go away quickly - these children have to relearn so much. My children’s perception of the world is very different.”

Adoptive Family Support

The Fraser Adoptive Family Support is for children whose caregivers have concerns about their developmental, behavioral and/or emotional well-being; these children have been adopted or are in out-of-home placements.

We serve children with a variety of emotional and behavioral disturbances caused by mental health disorders, traumatic experiences, including abuse, neglect, and exposure to domestic violence, exposure to drugs or alcohol, disrupted attachments to adults, and significant changes in the family.

These problems can interfere with children’s typical development, negatively affect their relationships with family members, and disrupt performance in child-care, school and at home.

Adoptive Family Support includes:
  • Diagnostic Assessments
  • Psychological Evaluations
  • Individual and Family Therapy (in-home and in-office)
  • Parent Guidance
  • Children’s Mental Health Targeted Case Management
  • Individual and Family Skills Training (in-home and in-office)
  • Preschool Day Treatment

Locations: This program is currently offered in our Fraser Minneapolis and Fraser Anoka locations.

Payment: Payment options include insurance, Medical Assistance, prepaid health plans (PMAP), county funding, and private pay.
