What is CARF Accreditation?

CARF International accreditation is a symbol of commitment to continually enhance the quality of services and programs, with a focus on the satisfaction of the persons served. CARF quality standards have been recognized as a roadmap for quality practices in health and human services.

Quality standards form the cornerstone of CARF accreditation. CARF surveyors use a consultative approach during the survey process to help improve quality, and help service providers focus on improved service outcomes, satisfaction of the persons served, and quality service delivery.

Each set of CARF standards is developed with the input of providers, consumers, payers, and other experts from around the world. As such, CARF standards are "field-driven" and "international consensus" standards.
